Jack Hughes, selected No. 1 overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 2019 NHL Draft, is the USA Hockey National Team Development Programs all-time leader in assists (154) and points (228). He broke out in 2021-22 with 56 points in 49 games and, in 2022-23, became the first Devils player in over a decade to score 40 goals, finishing with a franchise-record 99 points. Hughes is the fastest player in franchise history to reach 300 points (325 games) and has been named an NHL All-Star twice (2022, 2023). He holds multiple tournament records at the IIHF World Under-18 Championship and has skated alongside both of his brothers, Quinn (Vancouver Canucks) and Luke (Devils), in the NHL.
