Since the moment that Connor Bedard was selected No. 1 by the Blackhawks, the expectation was that he would take home this award. The 18-year-old center led the league's rookies in points (61), goals (22) and assists (39). He also led first-year players with 206 shots on goal, a Blackhawks rookie record. A native of North Vancouver, B.C., Bedard is also the youngest Blackhawk to be named to the All-Rookie Team and win the Calder.
